The University System of Ohio encourages professors to keep student costs in mind when specifying textbooks and other learning materials for their courses. While many faculty have taken steps to introduce innovative digital content making materials available online or using Open Educational Resources (OER), these choices aren't a "one size fits all" solution for students struggling to afford college textbooks and other learning materials.

The good news is that there are a number of options students can take right now to save money on college textbooks.
