With more than 120 Adult Basic and Literacy Education (ABLE) programs and Adult Workforce Education (AWE) centers, the University System of Ohio serves Ohio’s adult population, including:

  • Non-traditional students who left high school before earning a diploma
  • Recent high school graduates who need additional skills before enrolling in college
  • Working adults who wish to pursue post-secondary credentials years after graduating from high school
  • Adults seeking to study English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL)
