Career Changers?

Do you want to be a teacher? Do you already have your bachelor’s degree?
Ohio also has teacher licensure programs available for individuals who have already earned their baccalaureate degree in non-education fields. These include post-baccalaureate licensure programs which offer the education necessary to lead to the teaching license desired (post-baccalaureate programs do not lead to a master’s degree) and graduate licensure programs which are designed to prepare individuals for the teaching licensure desired while also leading to a Master’s degree.
Some programs specifically target individuals with previous careers or extensive education in high needs subject areas such as the Woodrow Wilson Fellowship which specifically targets individuals who have majored in or have a strong professional background in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) field and provides a stipend for accepted students to complete a teacher education licensure program.
