Another Chance to Get on Track
The General Educational Development (GED) Test gives students who left high school before graduating an opportunity to earn a High School Equivalence Diploma. The GED Test covers five subjects: writing, reading, social studies, science, and mathematics and can be used to pursue career training and a college degree.
Preparing for the GED Test
Ohio ABLE programs provide FREE services to individuals in all 88 counties of the state. By enrolling in an ABLE program, you can develop study skills and test-taking skills. You can also study math, English, writing and reading, and take FREE practice tests to prepare for GED graduation and entrance exams for post-secondary career training programs, and community college or university degree programs.

Applying for the GED Test
Although the GED Test is intended for adults 19 years old or older, waivers of the age requirement are available in Ohio if the applicant is between 16 and 18 years old and not enrolled in a high school program.
