Rio Grande Community College was established in 1974 to meet the need for technical education in the four-county district of Gallia, Jackson, Vinton, and Meigs Counties. Rio Grande Community College offers a wide range of services including associate degrees, technical programs, transfer programs, and continuing education. Rio Grande Community College has a unique partnership with the University of Rio Grande, a four-year independent liberal arts college, for students to continue on to receive a bachelor's degree or higher. 100 percent of credits from the Community College transfer to the University of Rio Grande.
