Edison Community College

Nearly 5,000 additional individuals are served through various public workshops and through Edison's Business and Industry Center. This center provides customized training for many different types of Edison students, including those who have been displaced from their current jobs and are using the college to enhance skills or to retrain.
The second-fastest growing institution of higher education in Ohio since August 2008, Edison expanded its credit enrollment by close to ten percent. The high quality, associate degree nursing program produces about 70 percent of the practicing registered nurses in health care organizations in the upper Miami Valley. Edison recently added the 34,000 square foot Emerson Center which offers classroom space for this degree study. Popular medical laboratory technology and physical therapy assistant programs are new to the curriculum.
Edison boasts one of Ohio's top enrollments in the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEOP). Each semester, 500-600 high school students take courses as PSEOP students while earning college and high school credit concurrently.
At the same time, Edison is quite proud of its success placing students on the All-Ohio Academic Team. In 2009, three Edison students were named among the top ten community college students in the state. Priding itself on small classes which offer individual instruction as needed, Edison is committed to its brand phrase: A Personal Experience, A Rewarding Education.
